An American Airlines flight headed for Charlotte was forced to make an emergency landing in Jacksonville, FL Thursday morning.
An official with the airline said AA flight 608 had taken off at 10:13am Thursday morning and was going from Orlando to Charlotte when smoke was detected in the cabin. The flight was then diverted to Jacksonville International Airport for an emergency landing.
The plane landed safely at 11:20am and was carrying 126 passengers and a 6 person crew. No one was injured during the incident.
Crews are inspecting the plane, and arrangements are being made for the grounded passengers.
