The cabin of a WestJet Encore flight filled with smoke in a video that shows the inside of a plane during an emergency landing in Nanaimo on Tuesday — an incident now being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board (TSB).

The video captured on a GoPro shows the hazy interior of a Bombardier Q400 that was carrying 58 people, including two crew members, as it flew from Vancouver to the island.

In the video, an alarm can be heard as the plane reaches its destination. Then a flight attendant walks into the frame telling passengers, “leave everything, leave everything.”

People are subsequently seen standing up to put on their coats as a voice off camera asks them to sit down.
Later in the video, a male voice on the intercom says, “evacuate, evacuate, evacuate.”
Passengers then leave the plane, walking on to the tarmac at the Nanaimo Airport.
“Leave everything, OK?” a voice instructs.
