Who currently holds the top spot in the Women’s Singles Tennis World Rankings?

Iga Swiatek has been on top of the rankings since crushing Jessica Pegula in the final of the 2023 WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico. The Pole has won five titles in 2024 so far inclyding a third consecutive French Open triumph.

Coco Gauff is up to number two after she reached the semi-finals at Roland-Garros, moving above Madrid and Rome runner-up Aryna Sabalenka who had struggled for form after retaining her Australian Open title. Elena Rybakina lies fourth.

Zheng Qinwen’s first Grand Slam final appearance at the Australian Open saw her break into the top 10 for the first time. Dayana Yastremska shot up 64 places to number 29 after reaching the semis.

Jasmine Paolini broke into the top 20 for the first time thanks to her shock victory in the WTA 1000 event in Dubai, and moved into the top 10 after reaching the French Open final. Danielle Collins, in her last season on the tour, is back in the top 16 after winning back-to-back titles in Miami and Charleston.
