“We were just killing them.” Michael Hunter recalled fighting with Tyson Fury in the amateurs

“I fought Fury in England during a duel between England and the USA. It was madness. Now, when I look at those photos, I see that Billy Joe Saunders, Carl Frampton, and many other people I didn’t know back then were there. Our team from the USA basically knocked out eight opponents. We were dominating, even on foreign soil, and it didn’t look good for them.

I almost knocked Fury out, I shook him, but he stayed on his feet, and the judges gave him the victory. We were supposed to meet again a few days later, but he simply didn’t show up and refused the fight. Fury always behaves like this—he acts like he’s ready to fight and then pulls out at the last minute, just like he did with Usyk. So, this is nothing new for me,” Hunter told the Pro Boxing Fans channel.

On May 19, Tyson Fury suffered his first professional defeat in a fight against Oleksandr Usyk. A rematch between the boxers is scheduled for December 21 of this year.

Former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua recently made his prediction for the Usyk-Fury rematch
