Last weekend, United Airlines flight UA848 bound for Guam had to return to Tokyo Haneda due to a problem in the cockpit.Information has been released pertinent to this incident, which we will get into in this article.

United Airlines UA848 – Tokyo Haneda to Guam…United Airlines flight UA848 is a routine scheduled flight between Tokyo Haneda and Guam.
Furthermore, it is understood that the aircraft involved in the incident was N35260.
As per data from Planespotters.net, N35260 is a 23.2 year old Boeing 737-800 that first started out life with Continental Airlines in June 2001.
Following the merger with United Airlines, the aircraft was handed over to the UA registry in October 2010.
Of the 737-800 variant, the airline has 141 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, of that 141, all but nine are in active service, with an average fleet age of 20.5 years.

United Airlines flight UA848 departed Tokyo Haneda at 0320 local time on July 27 and tracked south towards Guam.
As per The Aviation Herald, it is understood the crew on the flight started receiving unreliable airspeed indications.
Following that, the decision was made for the aircraft to return to Haneda.
Furthermore, UA848 landed safely back into the Japanese airport at 0538 local time.

Aircraft Re-Entered Service The Next Day…
Following the incident onboard United Airlines flight UA848 Tokyo-Guam, the aircraft was grounded overnight.
Data from RadarBox highlights that the aircraft headed back to it’s initial destination on July 29.
Furthermore, the aircraft continued to operate flights between the two destinations on July 29, before changing it’s itinerary.
Overall, no additional incidents have been reported regarding the aircraft, with the issue assumed to have been solved.
