Paris Fury, the rock-solid other half of boxer Tyson Fury, has opened up about the moment she almost didn’t become Mrs Fury. Recalling the lead up to their big day, Paris shared how the pair’s wedding plans got a knock-out punch when Tyson casually suggested moving their nuptials forward.
Tyson, seemingly oblivious to the amount of organisation a wedding entails, thought it would be plain sailing for Paris to bring their wedding date forward after failing to secure his place at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. But the mum-of-five wasn’t having any of it and punched back with a firm no.
In an excerpt from her memoir Love and Fury, she explained: “My fiance clearly didn’t understand the amount of planning and organisation that went into a wedding. I was beginning to realise how incredibly impulsive he was, the sort of person who lived life in the moment and liked to make decisions on the hoof. In Tyson’s world, our big day could be rescheduled on a whim, just like one of his boxing matches. I was having none of it, though, and refused point blank to change the date.”
