Tyson Fury’s daughter Athena died for three minutes shortly after she was born and was revived by hospital workers.
Fury and his wife Paris welcomed their sixth child on Sunday.
Baby Athena was unwell in the first few hours of her life and was in intensive care.
Mr Fury’s father John has revealed she was dead for three minutes before she was put on ventilators and saved at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.It’s been a bit of a white knuckle ride, we’ve had a lot to deal with,” Mr Fury’s father John told BT Sport.
“But we’ve come out on the other side due to professionalism of Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, they’re the best children’s hospital in the country if not the world.They’ve been really magnificent, they’ve really saved her life because she was dead for three minutes and they brought her back, it’s onwards and upwards from today.”
He said Athena is back off the ventilator and feeling better.He also praised his son for being calm under huge pressure.
Mr Fury is currently preparing for a world heavyweight title fight with Deontay Wilder.
