Additionally, WestJet is increasing its capacity on routes to Latin America and the Caribbean by 57% compared to last summer, cementing its position as the leading airline for leisure travel from Canada to these regions.
In addition to these new services, WestJet will restore transatlantic routes, including the resumption of direct flights from Halifax (YHZ) to London-Gatwick (LGW), Dublin (DUB), and Edinburgh (EDI). These seasonal routes will be available from late spring to early fall 2024, offering travelers in Atlantic Canada easier access to Europe. Halifax, in particular, will see significant growth, with a 44% increase in capacity over 2023.
