Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has been crowned as the new number one boxer in the world, surpassing the likes of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in the latest rankings.

Usyk’s rise to the top spot comes on the back of his stunning victory over Tyson Fury in their highly anticipated undisputed heavyweight title showdown in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.
The split-decision win saw Usyk become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since the legendary Lennox Lewis in 1999.

According to the prestigious Ring Magazine’s latest rankings, Usyk has now been named the new heavyweight
Joshua, the former champion, finds himself relegated to the third spot in the rankings according to a report from TalkSport.

The top five is rounded out by Joseph Parker in fourth and Deontay Wilder in fifth, highlighting the Ukrainian’s dominance at the pinnacle of the heavyweight division.
Usyk’s meteoric rise to the summit of the sport has been nothing short of remarkable.

The 37-year-old, who was previously known for his exploits in the cruiserweight division, has seamlessly transitioned to the heavyweight class, proving his technical prowess and exceptional boxing skills against the division’s biggest names.
