Tennis legend Rafael Nadal has significantly bolstered his net worth by £78 million (€94.1 million) through the sale of a 44.9% stake in his Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca to private investment firm GPF Capital. This transaction has led to a remarkable 373% increase in revenue for Nadal’s holding company, Aspemir, compared to the previous year.

Despite divesting nearly half of his shares in the Centre Sportiu Manacor, Nadal retains a majority stake of 55.1% in the academy. The Rafa Nadal Academy is renowned for offering comprehensive training programs, accommodations for aspiring tennis players, and various services in the health and hospitality sectors. The facility also houses a private clinic and a museum showcasing memorabilia from Nadal’s illustrious career.

Prior to this substantial deal, Nadal’s net worth was estimated at approximately £175 million, with £103 million earned from tournament winnings and additional income from lucrative sponsorships and endorsements. This recent sale further solidifies his financial standing, underscoring his successful ventures both on and off the tennis court.

Nadal’s financial portfolio also includes luxury assets such as a £33 million mansion in his hometown of Manacor, Mallorca, a holiday villa in the Dominican Republic, and a £5 million luxury yacht named the ‘Great White,’ which he acquired for his 34th birthday in 2020.

This strategic partnership with GPF Capital not only enhances Nadal’s financial portfolio but also positions the Rafa Nadal Academy for continued growth and excellence in nurturing future tennis talents.
