A JetBlue Airbus A320-200 operating a service from New York JFK to Fort Lauderdale, FL made a return to New York due to electrical problems on 23 September 2024.
JetBlue flight B62201 had conducted a departure from New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) bound for Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport.

The flight had reached the top of climb point (TOC) when flight crew reported a possible generator issue. As a result, flight crew elected to make a precautionary return to the origin airport.
The flight landed without further incident on runway 04L New York JFK, approximately 1.5 hours after its initial departure.
A subsequent Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) report confirmed that the aircraft landed at approximately 1545 local time, after reporting the possible electrical issue. The FAA will now investigate the incident.

The flight had then set course normally, climbing to flight level FL320 (32,000 feet) for the south-westerly service to Fort Lauderdale. The climb was subsequently terminated at FL320 and a direct return to New York JFK was then carried out.
